beige on beige is a new Chicago-based experimental-rock outfit made up of four (sometimes five) members. Led by Courtesy’s Kirk Rawlings, the band began as a solo project, but soon transitioned into a democratic collective, utilizing group improvisation to write and create their music. The members of beige on beige includes Rawlings, bassist John Steiner, guitarist Chris Day (touring bassist in Courtesy), drummer David Beale, and occasional contributions from violinist Raquel Gonzalez. On April 7th, beige on beige will self-release their debut single “C’mon”, marking the beginning of a steady stream of releases.
